(Lace Works)

Ñanduti (This word means: (Spiderweb) or lace work of Paraguay which is made with nedles.

This handicraf are tipical of Paraguay and its is made en Itagua city.

¨Ñandutì is originally from Spain (Islas Canarias) known as "Lace of the Sun) for that reason the designs adopted different geometric shapes.

Ñanduti is needled on wooden frame in different designs, with fine white, this is the autentical and tradicional.

Today a lot of colors are used for different designs, with a thicker thread. Now this handicraft is used for clothes and wedding dresses, tableclothes, leather products, doilies.

It is used for creatied fashionon International level. The main city of Ñanduti is Itagua.
